Dear visitors of the Consulate General of Russia in Toronto,

Due to complaints received regarding the activities of several consulting and travel companies which publish information on their websites claiming to perform the functions of Russian visa centers, please take note of the following.

There are currently no official Russian visa application centers operating in Canada. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Toronto does not cooperate with any third-party organizations. Applicants are received exclusively in person and strictly by prior appointment.

We strongly recommend that you avoid contacting third parties in order to prevent unjustified risks related to the possible unlawful use of your personal data.

To obtain consular services, you may make a prior appointment through the electronic queue system of the Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at any Russian foreign mission in Canada — the consular section of the Russian Embassy in Ottawa, as well as the Consulates General in Montreal and Toronto.

Only the following applicants may be received without an appointment:
— those traveling to the Russian Federation for urgent medical treatment;
— those traveling due to the serious illness or death of a close relative.

Consulate General admits applicants for consular services only by prior online appointment, strictly following the designated time and the stated purpose of visit. Applicants should carry ONLY documents needed for processing. Bags, briefcases, bikes, skis, skates, hockey sticks and any other sporting gear are NOT allowed inside the premises. Management of the buiding forbids to leave them on the ground floor near the security guard. Appointments for passport renewals, citizenship and notarial issues and are done through the Russian version of our website.
